The Sky Comet Dragon Risen Crimson Glow Valstrax (傀異克服バルファルク, kaiikokufuku barufaruku) is an Elder Dragon introduced in Monster Hunter Rise.

It is both a Risen form of Crimson Glow Valstrax, and is still a Variant of Valstrax.

General Notes

• Risen Crimson Glow Valstrax is an Invader, able to roam all locales and environments. Its main quest will change locales after every hunt.
• Like Crimson Glow Valstrax, attacking Crimson Glow Valstrax's chest while it is inhaling can explode it, and downs the monster, leaving it vulnerable.
  • Just before it transforms into Risen mode, attacking its chest will not explode it.
• Risen Crimson Glow Valstrax can perform a regular Ambush attack while in combat. It can also perform a Risen Ambush attack during Risen state, where it will remain mid-air and shoot explosive dragon projectiles onto the land, then will charge in at hunter/monster for massive damage.
  • When moving to another area, if another monster is fighting in said area, Risen Crimson Glow Valstrax will not land and starts its regular Ambush attack.
• Risen Crimson Glow Valstrax ranked 33rd place in the Top Monster competition during Monster Hunter's 20th Anniversary., the highest placement for Risen monsters.

Miscellaneous
