The Fire Wyvern Ratha (レウス, mamori reusu) is a Flying Wyvern introduced in Monster Hunter Stories.
It is a unique individual of Rathalos belonging to Lute.
Physiology and Abilities
Ratha is a Rathalos identical to the rest of his species, simply called Ratha as a nickname. Lute and their friends discovered his egg and accidentally hatched him with Kinship, while playing pretend doing so. Ratha spent a brief time with his new rider, until a Nargacuga suffering the Black Blight invaded Hakum. Ratha briefly stunned the blighted Nargacuga until it sent the young Ratha spiraling into a dark abyss.
Ratha appears older years later with a scar on its eye, randomly attacking Gildegaran. Lute found him amidst his angry rampage, then had Ratha recognize him with his Kinship Stone, reunited once more.
Ratha later got infected with the Black Blight, turning his red scales deep gray, and his black scales gold. His eyes glowed blue and purple blight energy radiated from his mouth. He was cured with Kinship power.
