The Fire Wyvern Guardian Ratha (護りレウス, mamori reusu) is a Flying Wyvern introduced in Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin.
It is a unique individual of Rathalos belonging to Red.
Physiology and Abilities
Guardian Ratha is an elder Rathalos that is near identical to a normal specimen, save for its discolored eyes and scales due to age. He had grown moss on each discolored scale, before the Rage-Rays appeared. He is supposedly the parent to Razewing Ratha, with his partner unknown.
At the time Red was alive, Guardian Ratha was completely identical to other Rathalos', acting as his Monstie.
Guardian Ratha joined the other Rathalos in fleeing from Hakolo Island due to madness from the Rage-Rays, then returned to his sacred grounds after a massive Rage-Ray appeared. He assisted the protagonist in transporting them to stop Razewing Ratha, then died sacrificing himself to an Elder Dragon, being consumed by its larvae for power.
