- Its forearms (individual) and back can be broken. Its horns can be broken twice, and its tail can be severed.
- Zinogre is the flagship monster for Monster Hunter Portable 3rd.
- When knocked over, players can gather bugs off of Zinogre's back using any Bug Net item in their inventory. This can be done three times, and doesn't reset for the specific Zinogre.
- In Iceborne, the Capture Net must be fired off the Slinger, and in Rise, the hunter simply touches the back and gathers bugs like shiny material drops.
- Zinogre has made small cameos in some franchise crossovers:
- As a armor set for its respective characters in Raid: Shadow Legends, and Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis.
- As a mere mention by name from the Chief Researcher in Dragalia Lost.
- Zinogre ranked 1st place in the Top Monster competition during Monster Hunter's 20th Anniversary, followed by Nergigante in 2nd, and Lagiacrus in 3rd. Each winner got new celebration renders.

The Thunder Wolf Wyvern Zinogre (ジンオウガ, Jinouga) is a Fanged Wyvern introduced in Monster Hunter Portable 3rd.
Physiology and Abilities
Zinogre is a large fanged wyvern with distinct blue carapace, and silver fur with tan spike protrusions running down its back and tail, with some fur on each forearm and hindleg. It has tan horns on its head and tan spikes on its chin, and blue eyeballs with white irises.
Zinogre native to the New World bear a strange mutation, making its body generally larger, with a more pronounced back, less obvious spikes covered by its fur, and a different tail pattern with multiple same size spikes on the tip instead of two large ones.
When both versions of Zinogre charge up, both the spikes and fur flowing down its back unfold and expand, then when it supercharges, diamond light radiates from its back.
Zinogres have a symbiotic relationship with Thunderbugs/Fulgurbugs (in some instances Great Thunderbug clouds), where the trade is that the bugs are protected and can proliferate in its fur, and in return grant Zinogre electric attacks, some of which fling themselves as cloud projectiles.

Characteristics: A monster belonging to the fanged wyvern species. It is characterized by its yellow-colored carapace, as well as the pale fur around its abdomen and neck through which electricity courses as it battles. This electrical energy is gathered from nearby Thunderbugs, which Zinogre may then discharge at will. Useful Information: It will often attack in rapid succession, with each strike becoming more aggressive as its health decreases. Habitats: Forest, Swamp |
