The Silver Duke Dragon Malzeno (メル・ゼナ, meru zena) is an Elder Dragon introduced in Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak.
Physiology and Abilities
Malzeno is a large elder dragon with grey scales, red tattered webbing on both its head and wings, large tan horns, and a three pronged tail. Its chest is adorned with Qurio, appearing as if it were a gallant robe.
When powered up in its Bloodening state, its grey scales turn darker, the wings and Qurio glow a bright red, and its tail starts radiating Dragon energy.
Malzeno has a special symbiotic relationship with the Qurio. The winged parasites absorb blood and energy from their prey and safely rest on Malzeno's chest, and Malzeno is fed most of that nutrition and can use Qurio projectile clouds in combat. Malzeno also introduces and uses Bloodblight, which saps away victims health and halves recovery item potency, but health can be regained via attacks during the blight.
Description
Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak | |
---|---|
A dragon covered with elegant silver scales. It uses the Qurio to drain the life energy of other living creatures, creeping around at night and attacking its prey from behind. It appears almost regal to start with, but after draining enough energy, it can turn a violent, fresh-blood crimson. This form is known as the "Bloodening" and is widely feared. Threat Level: ★★★★★★★★ |
