Hunter's Encyclopedia

From MHWiki

The Hunter's Encyclopedias (ハンター大全, hantā taizen) are lore books and in-universe encyclopedias written by the Royal Paleontology Scriveners.

Hunter's Encyclopedia

The original Hunter's Encyclopedia was released after the the original Monster Hunter, and as such catalogued lore about Kokoto Village, Minegarde Town, the equipment and monsters featured in MH1, and more.

Hunter's Encyclopedia 2

Hunter's Encyclopedia 2 is the second Hunter's Encyclopedia and was released not long after the second game. It featured content on Monster Hunter G, Monster Hunter Portable, and primarily on Monster Hunter Dos. It featured the third official appearance of the Monster Hunter world map, and the first time the villages, towns, and locales featured in the series were placed on the world map.

Hunter's Encyclopedia G

Hunter's Encyclopedia G is an expanded version of Encyclopedia 1 & 2. It featured almost all the content from Encyclopedia 1 & 2 (excluding the equipment sections, DVDs, and a few other articles) with new information added about Monster Hunter Portable 2nd and Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G.

Hunter's Encyclopedia 3

Hunter's Encyclopedia 3 released not long after Monster Hunter Tri and featured the content from that game. Unlike its predecessors, Encyclopedia 3 does not feature an updated world map.

Hunter's Encyclopedia [reprinted edition]

The reprinted edition of the Hunter's Encyclopedia features the entirety of Hunter's Encyclopedia G and Hunter's Encyclopedia 3. As such, it featured almost all content from every Hunter's Encyclopedia released up to that point, with the exceptions of the DVDs featured in Encyclopedia 1 & 2, as well as the equipment sections of those two releases.

Hunter's Encyclopedia 4

Hunter's Encyclopedia 4 is the fourth Encyclopedia and features information on Monster Hunter Tri G and Monster Hunter 4. Much like Hunter's Encyclopedia 3, it did not feature a world map. It is currently the final release of the Hunter's Encyclopedias.
