Monster Hunter Frontier is an online hunting action game for PC systems on June 21, 2007, then for Xbox 360 on June 24, 2010. The game later expanded to Playstation 3, Playstation Vita, and Wii U systems as well. The game required paid subscriptions to pay and log in, even if you purchased the game via its package.
After Z Zenith's update on September 26, 2018, the entire game shut down forever on December 18, 2019.
Monster Hunter Frontier, originally consisting of Monster Hunter 2's monsters, gradually expanded in season updates, and gained its own cast of famously unique and powerful monsters. In later particular updates, the Switch Axe F and Magnet Spike were added to the game, as well as alternate hunting styles that drastically change weapon attacks and abilities, such as Extreme style.
Major season updates include Monster Hunter Frontier Forward.1, Monster Hunter Frontier G, and Monster Hunter Frontier Z.
