- Two Turf Wars have random outcomes; the first being Diablos vs Black Diablos, the second Rathalos vs Glavenus.
- In the Xbox One version, the turf war between Ruiner Nergigante and Velkhana is actually a tie, but only Ruiner Nergigante takes damage.
- Rajang will enter rage mode before dealing damage in its Turf Wars against Savage Deviljho and Ruiner Nergigante, only to exit rage mode shortly afterward, unless it was enraged beforehand.
- Rajang has two turf war animations against Kirin.
- Rajang will briefly enter and then exit rage mode after consuming Kirin's horn at the end of their Turf War unless it was enraged beforehand.
- Rajang will not consume Kirin's horn and briefly enrage if Kirin's horn was broken before the Turf War.
- There is a 10-minute cooldown as to when a monster can engage again in another Turf War.
- The loser of the Turf War takes damage equal to 10% of their maximum HP.
- For whatever reason, a Turf War does not start between Nightshade Paolumu and Shrieking Legiana in the Guiding Lands.
Hidden Turf War
These are turf wars that cannot happen under normal circumstances, as the monsters do not meet each other in-game. Reader discretion is advised.
