- Effective = Slay monster with weapon of an effective element: {{{2}}}
- Break = Slay {{{3}}} after breaking its {{{4}}}: {{{2}}}
- Star = Slay {{{3}}}★ or above monster: {{{2}}}
- Gather = Gather items at gathering point: {{{2}}}
- Item = Obtain {{{3}}} from gathering points: {{{2}}}
- 2 = Number of times action must be performed
- <3> = Optional. Extra parameter, usage depends on quest type
- In "Slay" = Monster name
- In "Habitat" = Habitat name
- In "Break" = Monster name
- In "Star" = Star rank
- In "Gather" = Gathering point type
- M = Mining Outcrop
- B = Bonepile
- V = Vegetation
- (blank) = Generic gather items quest
- In "Item" = Quest item name
- <4> = Optional. Extra parameter, usage depends on quest type
- In "Habitat" = Monster size
- If parameter is missing/blank = Slay monster in the Forest habitat: 3
- If parameter is not blank = Slay large monster in the Forest habitat: 3
