Monster Hunter Wilds (モンスターハンターワイルズ) is an upcoming game in the Monster Hunter series, announced on December the 8th 2023 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC during The Game Awards, with an estimated global release for 2025, and the first Sixth Generation game.
Tentative Features
- Rathalos
- Riding on a small monster, possibly a Bird Wyvern, which can glide and apparently carries extra supplies and one extra weapon.
- One new small monster similar to an anteater or armadillo, with two variants, with the larger one seeming to act as a thunder rod.
- One new small monster similar to a Kestodon.
- One new medium monster akin to a large bear.
- A vast new locale, a large savannah with thunder-rod like rock formations.
- A small new endemic creature similar to a Compsognathus.
- A small new endemic bird that can be seen on top of the anteater-like monster.
- A sandstorm weather effect that alters the behavior of monsters.
- What appears to be a Slinger.
