Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate (known as Monster Hunter XX in Japan) is an online hunting action game for the Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Switch consoles, and is an expanded version of Monster Hunter Generations.
It originally released on March 18th 2018 on the Nintendo 3DS exclusively in Japan. A revamped, HD version of the game called Monster Hunter XX - Nintendo Switch Ver. was later released on August 25th 2017, again exclusively in Japan. Finally, one year later on August 28th 2018, the game received an international release under the name Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate.
